Prince Edward County Middle School is proud to announce that one of its esteemed teachers, Mr. Louis Gould III, affectionately known as Mr. G., has been recognized with the Acts of Kindness Award by the 12 On Your Side television station. This special recognition highlights his outstanding contributions to both the school and the broader community.
In late September, PECMS Principal Shelly Clark-Reed received correspondence from Ashley Hendricks of 12 On Your Side, informing the school that Mr. Gould had been nominated for the award by community member Ms. Kim Thompson. The nomination celebrated Mr. Gould’s dedication to teaching, his positive role modeling, and his mentoring of young men throughout Prince Edward County and surrounding areas.
On November 6th, in a special assembly, Mr. Gould was honored with this award in front of his colleagues, current and former students, and members of the central office. He received gifts from Ms. Thompson and was welcomed with cheers, applause, and a standing ovation, underscoring the deep appreciation felt by all in attendance.
Principal Clark-Reed shared her gratitude for Mr. Gould’s contributions, stating, "Mr. G.’s unwavering commitment to our students and community makes a lasting impact, and we are beyond grateful for his continued dedication to Prince Edward County."
